• The original structure was an outbuilding of the Deerleap Estate.
• Robert John Winicott purchased Deerleap in 1937.
• He started to use the outhouse to sell hardware.
• The current extended building was constructed in 1975.
• It incorporated the function of a Post Office in 2005.
